This offering is a representative model of the Community Supported Agriculture Concept.  Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), one type of direct marketing, consists of a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, inspirit, the community's farm; with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production.

Consumers become CSA members by paying an agreed amount at the beginning of the farm's season, either in one lump sum or in installments.  This upfront payment helps support the farm, the farmers work and all the input cost while they are raising and HAVE BEEN RAISING the shareholders' beef FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS and provides the farmer an immediate income to begin the season. By paying at the beginning of the season, CSA members share in the risk of production and relieve the farmer of shouldering all the risk in producing high quality premium products, especially in the current times of such extreme weather!  This allows the farmer to concentrate on good land stewardship and growing high quality food, knowing that the farm is backed by a group of loyal local supporters!
